Latest Struggle

I am leaving for Kenya in about 3 days! I am so pumped, very excited to see those babies. I am having alot of trouble dealing with my pride though. I always push myself up to the highest level of amazing when I am totally not there. It’s getting my butt into trouble with the friendships that I have made within the last year… 

I don’t really know what to do besides to lean on God.

Of all the luxuries that I have in my life, my beachouse is the best one! Well, it’s not mine, it’s my grandma’s, but I claim it as my own.

it’s been a LONG time since I wrote

SO i thought that I would get back into it! 

A lot has gone on since the last time i was here, so I really dont know what to say! Let’s start with the fact that I am returning to Kenya in about 3 weeks, and I am super super stoked. 

I have a new job, teaching swim lessons and working at the front desk at the local YMCA. I love this job, it takes up alot of time, but in the end I wouldn’t want to do anything else. 

Life has been busy, and hectic. Sister is back in the house, and so that means that for the rest of the summer, we have our whole family together! 

My faith is still remaining firm, and I hope to keep it that way!

How has everyone been? How is life with you? 

I’ve been very very very busy lately, and I have had no time to write. Good news!!! I got a BRAND NEW MACBOOK for Christmas. It’s been such a blessing for me to have it and be able to have a functional LAPTOP!!!!

SO the spring semester has begun, and it is already kicking my bootay! My english professor is amazing, and I can’t wait to learn more from him. My History professor is the same way, he has been all around the globe, and I cant wait to learn all his adventures and hear how he presents History to us. 

Africa 09 is going to be beyond comprehension, and I cant wait to be a part of that story. being away has been hard, but I have pictures up that are a daily reminder of what I am looking for in my future. : )

God is so amazing. I love Him. 

It’s so good to be back, and I will try my best to update. : )

For my art appreciation class, we have to replicate a piece of art.

www.omni-peace.com is the orginization that uses the art piece i chose to replicate as their logo. You may have seen people around, or maybe celebs wearing these shirts that have a picture of africa, and above the africa is a hand curved into a peace sign.

Courtney Cox, and her husband David Arquette are just a few of the many many celebs who endorse these shirts.

I am going to replicate the one that has the color on it. And then hopefully I am going to replicate it more than once, and give them to some of my Kenya Team members. : )

I hope this all works out like I hope it will. : )

delightfully sickening

it’s not supposed to.
those are the 2 words to descride my main 2 emotions of the day.

it was actually a delightfully wonderful day until about 7:30pm when my mom decided to bring up a subject that when talked about, makes me sick.

oh, did i mention we were at the dinner table eating?!?!?!?!

righttt, so i proceed to continue my vow to be silent troughout this meal because im already upset, and i feel completely nautious.

so after eating myself full, i am now about to study the next 2 hours of my life away in a biology book. because after the 2 weeks that IKE stole from my college education, all my teachers now have to CRAM, umm i mean teach, us the rest of the semester’s worth of material, with a nice give and take of material that takes too long to cover. needless to say that my bio test is in 2 days, and i need to review.

please pray that i dont go insane before this dreaded rest of the semester ends. : )

i am officially in my 20’s!!!

today marks the day that i have been alive for a whole 2 decades!

I am soooo excited to see whats in store for my 20’s, i’m so over being a teenager, and now im not!!!!

Ahhhh this is super exciting, yet kinda scary at the same time, because now i am an adult, not a teenager anymore!

Any advice about being in my 20’s that anyone wants to give would be amazing. : )
